Well with the announcement of the Xbox one Microsoft also announced a TV show for the Xbox franchise "Halo" to be directed by Steven Spielberg.

Though I was kind of disappointed with some of the Xbox one stuff this I am very excited for I loved forward unto dawn and the other live actions shorts they've made. That being said I have really high hopes for this and I really hope it will be as good as they made it sound.

So, we had an English exam that my English teacher did not prepare us for. Actually, we WOULD have been prepared had she not gone and made us go and do another part of our curriculum.
The exam was on a play called Journey's End and before like in January or November to December last year, we were reading and making notes on Journey's End. However, the English teacher got bored and one of the students in my class would not stop complaining about how hardHe actually gets A's in English and he complains that it is hard -_-" English is and how boring it is.
This came back to haunt us because, not long before the exam, she told us that the exam was on Journey's End and how sorry she was that she didn't know...fucking hell. She then tries to compensate by making us a revision guide and giving it to us, I dunno...maybe a few days before the exam? And we were like fuck this because of the lack of(I can't remember the word I want to use)care from her and also the fact that we have other exams in that same week too that we have to revise for.
When I did it, however, guess what grade I got?

She's the most bullshit English teacher I've ever had. Seriously. I go to a private school, I pay for this shitty teaching.

Oh hey, we're doing Romeo and Juliet now and guess what? She gave us three sheets of paper containing notes on Act 3 Scene 3 from somewhere, I don't know where she got them and she told us that its not her notes and she gives us a few more notes that aren't on the sheet.
Then she makes us copy out those notes into our books.

Basically, the notes she gave us that aren't on our sheet. WE ALREADY WROTE THEM ONCE, WHY ARE WE WRITING THEM AGAIN?!I fucking hate her. I really do.
Oh, last thing before I end this blog post, we did a speaking and listening assessment(just stand there and give a presentation on something). We had to annotate one of Wilfred Owen's poems, make a powerpoint and present it to the class. This was our second shot. I fucked up my first chance so I was determined to do better this time, to get an A(preferably an A*).
I made the powerpoint interesting as fuck. I made the first slide funny, so the audience laughed, I engaged them by putting a quiz on there too and I even made the best notes in the fucking class. I had some notes on what to say but I just glanced at them. I looked around at the audience as well. Not to mention I answered questions well too.
Although I was kind of nervous and apparently my legs were shaking a little(I'm not great in front of audiences).
The other students who didn't fuck up their first chance and actually got an A or an A* or a B didn't nearly try as hard as I did. One of the boys in my class just read off his powerpoint(His powerpoint fucking sucked too, text was small, couldn't read shit and there was LOADS of text. Seriously, a big wall of text like this one)and didn't even look at the audience. Guess what he got? HE GOT A FUCKING A*.
The boy who complains loads about English had all that he was going to say on a piece of paper and just read from the piece of paper the whole time and guess what he got? HE GOT A FUCKING A* TOO WHAT THE FUCK.
Did I mention that both of them had shitty powerpoints, poorly annotated poems and didn't even engage the audience? Seriously, they were boring as shit.

And after all I did, guess what I got? A fucking B. Great. Its okay I guess but I wanted that A*.

The students also said I had the best powerpoint and presentation by far and some even asked me if they could have a copy of it because of the notes I made. No lie.
The other boys were surprised I got a B because they knew that they did jack shit and got an A*. Fucking hell. Fuck my life. Fuck English, I'm done with that shit.

Seriously, my English teacher is the most bullshit English teacher you'll ever have AND she works in a private school and she's giving out this bullshit education?
Nah, guys I'm done with this shit. I'm fucking done. I'm failing English, I don't even care. I'll have A's and A*s in all my other subjects except this one. I fucking hate it.
I fucking hate her, she should get fired. I don't even care if that's harsh.

The New Xbox reveal was today, and since I'm too lazy so much stuff this time around I'll just copy and paste stuff from Kotaku and call it an announcement.

That's just a smidgeon of the news we got at Microsoft's big event in Seattle today, which touted the new Xbox and all of its features and capabilities. We didn't get to see a lot of games during the live reveal, but we did hear about how Microsoft hopes to take over our living rooms, and how the next Xbox will let you have a "relationship" with your television.

Microsoft touted how you'll be able to use gestures and voice control to interact with the new system. "Xbox, on" starts up the machine. "Xbox, watch TV" will open up your television. This is all possible thanks to Kinect 2.0, which ships with Xbox One.

Microsoft also introduced a feature called Snap Mode, for multitasking while watching television. You can use Skype, for example, to chat with friends while viewing something, or you can say "Xbox, show fantasy" to see your fantasy basketball stats while watching LeBron James score.

There's a feature called "Xbox Trending" that shows what television is currently popular on Xbox Live. "This is the beginning of truly intelligent TV," Microsoft says.

As for what's under the hood: 8GB RAM, Blu-ray, USB 3.0, WiFi direct, "silent" operation. 500 GB HDD.

Microsoft promises that the online platform will have 300,000 servers. Content is stored in the cloud. "Achievements will become dynamic and changing. They tell your personal story of how you play, not just what you've done."

SmartGlass is a big part of the new platform, too. Your tablet or phone will behave as if it's part of Xbox One, Microsoft says.

You'll have to install games before you play them. When you install a game, it connects to your Xbox Live account. You can connect it to a second account, but you'll have to pay a fee. In other words, the traditional concept of "used games" is obsolete for Xbox One.

The console is not online-only, but developers can choose to release online-only games using Microsoft's Azure cloud computing service, which lets the servers do some of the work. You'd have to be connected to the Internet to play those games.

Speaking of games, the pickings were rather slim for software at Microsoft's event. We saw some EA sports games—FIFA, Madden, NBA Live—and we saw an interesting-looking new horror game from Remedy (the folks behind Alan Wake), called Quantum Break.

We also got to see the next Call of Duty. It has, uh, a dog. Stephen saw it, and he's got a full preview right here.

Ubisoft, Bungie, and Square Enix have all jumped out to confirm that Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, Destiny, and Thief are all coming to Xbox One, although we didn't see any of those games at today's event.

Oh, and don't throw away your Xbox 360 just yet. Xbox One isn't backwards compatible.

Hey guys, what's going on?

Anyway, I just wanted to make a blog letting you guys know what's going on in the life of Bloo. I recently finished my first year at college all the way down in SA. My grades are okay, there nothing that I would brag about but I'm not at lose scholarship level yet so that's good. I made a few friends and we do fun things together. At least like 95% of my friends at school know I'm gay so that's good ^_^.

Also, the real reason I wanted to make this blog. I just wanted to thank everyone that wrote on my profile here(and Brendan) for wishing me a happy birthday. I know in the recent year I haven't been as active as I have been in the past, but it's nice to know I still have a place here. I got a watch for my birthday, it's super cool. It's metallic and has a white face and has blue dashes where the numbers are and the hands are blue which i nice.

Also, I started playing pokemon black again recently. I just beat Clay today, and my team consists of Boldurr, Servine, Swoobat, Stoutland, Duramaka(whatever it's called), and a Palpitoad. Odds are, the only ones in this team I'll take with me to the E4 are Stoutland and Swoobat. I caught a Joltik earlier today and a scrappy the other day and i'll probably pick up a litwick because those guys are boss. But other than that I'm not too sure who I'll take to end the game. Up until recently Servine has done like no damage to anyone but he's starting to do more and more damage. Duramaka is a boss, literally will one hit like anything with fire punch. I really liked Herdier, hopefully stoutland will be just as good as an addition to my team.

And I guess that's everything. Thanks for the Bday wishes everyone, I'll probably post another blog soonish since I have a lot of free time right now. Toodles!

Just read a blog from our own PMC66. Normally everything he posts is incomprehensible garbage as he can't speak the English language but my god, the level of sheer stupidity from that last one is beyond my understanding. He was pretty much like "I can do a Dragon Punch in Street Fighter 2 so I'm the authority on the skill cap in fighting games. Marvel takes no skill because I lose to people who are bad too". I know, I know. It's his "opinion", he can say what he wants. It's his blog. Yadda yadda yadda. You can make opinions all you want online, but if you state something as a fact that is not; Trolls' senses will be tingling and the pedantic shitstorm will hit you. A wild Revan appears and it's Super Effective!

Let me clear some things up regarding this stupid blog.

Sometimes things are fucking good. Factually. A fact it is good. Your opinion means nothing in this case.

I play MOBA games right now, I've hung up my fightstick temporarily and hit this rising new fad. The one thing I see a lot is the LoL/DotA2 comparisons. "Ohhh, lol is bad and for noobs", "Ohhhh, DotA 2 is well shit cause everything is overpowered". Nope, both of these common statements are dumb as fuck. BOTH games are good. A lot of people play BOTH these games, these games are BOTH part of a large competitive scene, these games are BOTH very successful. I THINK DotA2 is not as good as League of Legends, I prefer to play League of Legends and I will state that as an OPINION. I'm not shoving false facts down anyone's throats and merely stating a preference. Dat's cool, dat's fine. No harm done.

The next time you post something on the internet. Just watch what you say before you make a damn fool of yourself. There are millions, even billions of opinions out there but when it comes to the truth, there is usually only one fact regarding it. Your opinion is not fact.

Shut up. Play the game. Get good or don't. The less time you spend moaning on forums, the better you'll get.
Now that is a fact everyone can agree on (unless they are legit dumbasses).

Which completely depresses and surprises me, over this year i've tried to get into Marvel and try and have fun and get better at it but, I recognise that my main limitation with the game is the fact that i'm a player that likes to think about what he does before he does it. I like smash alot, i like other fighting games, I went into Marvel with some basic knowledge of fighting games. I know shoryuken motions i have some for of decent execution ability I know myself i'm not particularly bad at fighting games if i give myself time to adapt to the controls and the physics. First of all Simple mode is just an excuse for button mashers to have a way of beating people trying to learn the game early on, it's all it's there for it's a complete waste of game coding and just leaves people trying to learn the game properly salty because they lost to button mashers. TACs, freaking suck it's a button masher mechanic to help nuubs do more damage when said button masher manages to hit you. I know it's a 1/3 chance of getting out but when you have somebody mashing X spastically the whole time it's hard to tell which direction it's going to be, i fucking hate TACs, TAC infinites and just TACs in general. X factor is the single dumbest mechanic i've seen yet put into a game it basically super charges your character to stratospheric levels of broken. Basically all that hard work you put in off of clean hits and taking out the 1st two characters basically become for nothing if your opponent's level 3 X factor character lands Kills your point character and then proceeds to rape your entire team. it's dumb, really really dumb. Some incoming mix ups can be really overpowered as well, like anyone with dante Jam session. Nonetheless the character balance to me is really bad, Doom missiles are so dumb morrigan became top tier and spammed for weeks on end and Zero is even more overpowered in Ultimate than he was when he was one of the only point character choices in the original build. With this game in particular though, I have never wrestled with game play physics so hard in my life. Ok Arcade mode and just going through it with random characters and stuff is alright, the mission modes whilst they lack depth can be somewhat rewarding. but in order to play this game you have to look up pretty much everything on the internet. Even the bare bone basics of your characters, theres command lists and stuff, but most fighting games nowadays come with some form of a tutorial mode or some form of just something to help you get started. the best thing on offer in marvel is V\>. Activates a special move, in my honest opinion this game is so full of fail and bull shit I'm pretty much wrighting this as a first draft because theres so much stuff I really disliked and so much i was disapointed by in general. So to make things easy for myself I'm going to critique both versions after giving myself sometime to try and get to grips with it. The controls are really hyper specific, on the surface it seems like Capcom tried to make things more accessible but then forgot that Xbox and PS3 controllers aren't that great for doing dragon punch motions. ironicall with tatsunoko Capcom got things down better, by making the controls simple. There capcom tackled a casual market and did so successfully, and there were some combos in the game that took some practice to do so it felt rewarding for veteran players. The reason why MVC3 fails is because the entire game is down to dragon punch motions, tiger knees and pressing two buttons down together to dash. meaning you have to map 4 shoulder buttons and set Assist to the analogue sticks (only way i could manage it to be honest). It's clear MVC3 was made with a fighting stick in mind, meaning anyone without one will have a hard time. I know there are pad players, but most people like analogue sticks, and for a game like this they slip too much, so already to me this is fail. I'm going to try and be fairer for this, or as fair as i can be before I pretty much slam this game for some really poor overall design choices. if you like this game good for you, it wasn't for me, maybe you'll like it it's just opinion. There are some things enjoyable, trying to execute combos can be rewarding once your muscle memory kicks in, I think the roster choices were good contrary to what Angry Joe says I like Ghost rider, I got the game because i wanted to see how MODOK was implimented and i think Dormammu is freaking bad ass, You have really well known faces like spiderman, Wolverine, Cap america, though Spiderman is such an insanely frustratingly hard characters to use, I mean i respect people on streams who have perceveired with him but on the other hand i'm disturbed at the same time these people had nothing better to do, than sit down for hours on end, timing all the hyper precise movements. Spiderman is more of an example of the game in general though, execution is pretty much the meta game if you can't press down down forward forward twice quickly then it doesn't matter how smart you are you will never win. I don't mind execution being part of fighting games, Tekken requires some level of it, so does street fighter, the only difference here is that MVC3 takes no brains whatsoever to play. Sorry this is supposed to be the pros section, but seriously why would you make the most well known popular character in your fighting game nearly impossible to use? Same with Dante though I realy hate playing against Dante in this game. Ok so character choices I think were good, I think the graphics look nice, but at the same time the game's presentation is insanely tacky. it's like it's trying to be authentic to the Marvel look but as a big fan of the comic books it just feels like Capcom tried too hard to be that grandpa out with his kids in a disco trying to look cool. The music is honestly the strongest aspect of this game, the character themes are really well done. Some of the marvel characters have remixes of old themes like The Hulk and DR doom which really fit the characters. I think 'vanilla' in particular ranks up there with one of my personal most hated games ever. There's never been a game that has managed to make me so angry, heck even the players in tournaments flip freaking tables and punch eachother. This game is insanely frustrating, mainly because for me, it's not about being a smart player. I will say this now, all the people who said Smash isn't a real fighting game, smash requires something that Marvel3 never at any point requires.... Thought into what you actually do. This sounds harsh but i have a point with this, All this game is either running away and spamming an assist backwards. or running in and mashing the L button spamming assist forwards. Keep away got buffed significantly in Ultimate and it's used by 80% of people online and to be honest it's just repetetive. I will sum up how you play this game, and how to build teams in vanilla. 1 Pick Wesker, Dante, Zero or Magneto. 2 Pick a really dumb overpowered assist like Haggar Lariat and Tron Gustaff fire. 3 Pick Phoenix. Congratulations you've just picked the only viable teams in the entire game, i'm not kidding. Vanilla's character balance is the worst i've ever seen in any video game in general, Phoenix is just unbelievably broken, people complained about sentinel early on he got his health toned down but even then Phoenix is the single dumbest characters i've witnessed. The only way to beat her it to throw out a random super or time it when you think she'll make a mistake or pick Phoenix as your anchor and hope for the best. IGN said this game is balanced, no... but ir prooves that people don't go into depth when reviewing fighting games when really people should. I left it a while before ripping into this game because I just felt that I didn't understand how to play, but with some grasp of how to play now, i realise i want those 700 times playing as MODOK back in my life. Online in vanilla sucked especially lobbies, no spectator mode meant you just stared at two cards bumping into eachother. It was so riveting.... Not. Then basically after that this game is just a huge souless frustrating, cash cow that capcom just wanted to make money from. it really shows especially when one of the Ultimate win quotes has Wesker saying and i kid you not 'I shall you have you disintegrated'. Yes Capcom were so lazy they didn't even proof read the English win quotes, minor grammar mistakes are easy to overlook but seriously 'you have you disintegrated'? I mean my god it just shows how much of a rush job ultimate was, being 6 MONTHS after the origunal build, and oh i don't know all the stuff in ultimate could have just been in updates, I wouldn't have minded if Ultimate came out a year later with a ton of characters, tons of new modes. it would have been uneccesary but at least it would have added more. I know there was alot of licensing issues with the Marvel characters but regardless Capcom managed to get some perfectly good and likeable characters in this, so admitedly credit to them in this area. Every other area like lack of game modes. heck even shadow battles got cut in Ultimate and got replaced by the abominable heroes V Heralds mode. Which is the cheapest dumbest game mode ever invented in Human imagination, the computer in later levels get some ridiculous cards and considering you only get the ridiculous cards after grinding away capturing territories for freaking ages, trying to get them in the first place is unbelievably irritating. I managed it after a few tries and alot of Dark Phoenix shenanigans, but yeah Heros and Heralds mode sucks and could have been alot better, maybe more like soul calibur's weapon master mode, i get what Capcom tried to do but most of the abilities are pointles and don't affect the game mode much so it ends up being fail unless you unlock all the cards and pull off game breaking shenanigans, but it's not really worth it to be honest. Now for actually playing people online, Now to be fair theres a spectator mode, that should have been in the original, and is pretty much a standard for alot of other fighting game online modes anyway. Now some connections were fine, some were quite bad but it's natural for video games in general nowadays. In general Online lag wise isn't too bad, and you can have plenty of people in a lobby at once chatting to eachother. Now it's more how the game is meant to be played that bothers me honestly, I already think MVC3 and Ultimate are just money stealing and souless fan service, but honestly. Playing other people isn't fun, because it is literally just the same playstyles and strategies over and over. You can get some gimicky stuff and it can be fun trying out new teams and seeing how they do, but really the whole tactic and premise of this game is to spam as much as humanly possible. Which leaves a big ton of characters completely unviable, like Iron Fist, Haggar, Hulk, Phoenix Wright (who was a really dumb idea because i knew Capcom would just make a troll moveset for him and well they did so shocked... NOT). Ultimate leaves alot to be desired, more game modes, more stages that aren't just night time versions of the older stages from Vanilla. An actual game that requires opponent reads, instead of using the same mix ups over and over again. online expect alot of Dante, Spencer, Zero, and they all teleport behind you with something dumb like EMP disruptor, or a beam assist. If it doesn't work, just keep doing it, just keep doing it over and over again because you bound to mis time the block and then get 0-deathed after blocking the same mix up so many times before. There is no playstyle variety, everyone plays the exact same way because of how rigid the system is. for Vanilla i'd give the game a 3/10 the character balance is atrocious, it lacks characters, modes, any form of actual effort besides making the back grounds look nice and the music composition. Oh and I was never able to find anybody online either unless i asked people on BFC giving this game a whirl to invite me to a lobby. Ultimate: is a 5/10 it looses 1 point because of the fact this should have been what the build of the original game should have been to begin with. I know the Japanese Tsunami screwed up some parts of the vanilla version but even then, they could have delayed it and refurbished it more. it also looses another point for the fact it came out so soon after the original, it looses another point for the fact i hate the menu screen music, and Looses another 2 points because I just completel and utterly despise playing this game in general, and despise Vanilla even more. I can't really recommend this to anybody because of just how Lazy capcom were. The Strange Case Of... is Halestorm's second album, after their debut and self titled album, "Halestorm." This album received many positive reviews. It received 8.5 stars from 411mania, 3 stars from Allmusic, 4 stars from Kerrang, 4.5 stars from Loudwire, and 10/10 stars from Live Metal. Here's To US was featured on Glee(rewritten) and another version with multiple artists, featuring Slash. The Strange Case Of... reached number 1 on the US Hard Rock albums, 6 on US Alternative Albums, and 7 on US Top Rock albums in 2012. The single, Love Bites(So Do I) received a grammy award for best Hard Rock/Metal performance, which marked history as the first female fronted hard rock band to win this award. The Strange Case Of... is an interesting album, or the band as a whole is. They gained popularity by working with bands such Buckcherry, Shinedown, Stone Sour, Seether, and many more, including the reformed Dio Black Sabbath lineup of Heaven and Hell. I personally enjoy this album quite a lot, my favorite song on here being I Miss the Misery. Lzzy is aggressive with her lyrics, but they all have that special message in them. The instrumentals of this band isn't bad either, they produce good hard rock music. If I had to rate this album I'd give it a 4/5 stars. It's great, of course it could be better, but it's only their second album. I expect the band to pull together and even better album on their next release. This game works by making posting chains. and since the members far outnumber the mods on this forum, I'm putting this in the mods' favor. Here's how the game works. I'll give you guys a number. It will be the members' job to reach that number by accumulating points through chains. If a member posts, that begins a chain for the members. members accumulate points at an accumulating +1 point per posts for as long as they continue the chain. In other words: Member: This is gonna be fun! ((1 point)) Member 2: Fuck yeah! ((3 points, +2 points for being the SECOND POSTER IN THE CHAIN.)) Member 3: hell yeah! ((6 points, + 3 points for being the THIRD POSTER IN THE CHAIN.)) This continues at the same increasing rate until the CHAIN IS BROKEN. The chain is broken WHEN A MOD/ADMIN POSTS.
