Anyways, this is a video I replayed of me vs. a Snake main from another site (BD and AiB iirc) in the Grand Finals of a small WiFi tournament. I didn't replay the whole set, this is the only match I have, and it's the last one. He won 3-1.
Hope you all enjoy! Comments/tips/criticism are appreciated.
Did you play with those textures on? It makes Snake's nades and c4 seem absolutely invisible, making it really hard to space safely against him, let alone running into random things a lot. From the looks of it this match seemed kinda laggy because of the moments where you both seem to get stuck or mess up. I'll try to comment taking that into mind.
One thing I noticed a lot was your use of bombs in this MU, and to my surprise you didn't throw them the way I normally do. Throwing your bombs up gives TL a ton of stage control against Snake. Making his own bombs become hazards. This MU is actually 50:50 due to the fact TL can actually out camp Snake. (lol out camping Snake)
A lot of the time you would zdrop bombs into his nades and basically trap yourself into not being able to land safely.
During the end you started throwing bombs up, still not enough, but when you did it - it was effective. I also noticed you had a few empty boomerang throws as well. When the boomerang comes back to you cancel the lag by inputting another move or airdodging. When Snake takes a lot of knock back start setting the stage, get your bombs in the air to put him in an undesirable position.
Also, sheilding isn't the most effective thing against Snake. The best bet when you're close is really to just get the hell out and as fast as you can. If you don't think you can make it, remember TL's tilts aren't too bad and no one usually expects them.
I really liked that riwus btw, it was sexy xD
Something random to remember -- TL's dair cancels the mortar's projectile part.
That was pretty enjoyable to watch. A lot of camping going on, but that's expected with those two characters. One thing is that you gained quite a bit of % quickly when Snake got close to you, Snake's really dangerous up close.

Pretty much this.
Always camp. As much as I hate to say it, do it. lol. When Snake lobs a grenade towards you, expect him to approach. His approaches are tricky and can catch you off guard with a DACUS or something.
I think you should use Arrows a lot more, you were relying much on your bombs, but arrows are in my opinion just as important, if not more important than bombs. Short hop, double arrow is great and it lets you control the ground a lot more, seeing you in this match, you did really jump around with your bombs and boomerang a lot, which the Snake player took advantage of, he stood his ground and controlled the stage better, I'd advice you to use your projectiles a bit more structured and not let the bombs do all the work for you, arrows are important too.
But the match was pretty good, and funny to watch, you definitely know how to deal with Snake's geranades.

Just like everyone else was saying, camp moar. Toon Link actually HEAVILY outcamps Snake with his mobility + 3 useful projectiles. Land with arrows basically every time when he's not close to you and throw moar bombs. I used to use TL vs my doubles partner a lot, who mains Snake, so I kinda get this MU. Always keep a boomerang out as it forces shields or jumps in which you can punish with bombs. Bombs are crucial for this MU since they have the ability to easily cause Snake's grenades to explode. Landing with arrows keeps shield pressure on the Snake, and always having a boomerang out limits DACUS approaches. Instead of going in against Snake with TL's minimal attacking range, just run away and camp while you can. Although it does take like 10x as long to rack up damage, it builds up. Also, when he throws nades directly at you, try insta-throwing them right back (airdodge + c-stick). It keeps the Snake on his toes and forces him to be more careful about his camping. The more pressure you can apply with projectiles the better. When Snake gets close to TL, he will 9/10 walk up and shield. Everyone knows TL's grab is garbage, so it's not a bad idea and it's pretty safe. You can use this to your advantage by mixing up grabs with approaches. Your TL is still really cool and fun to watch, regardless. Thanks for sharing~
